Bio:
New Yorker Carol Novack's writings can or will be found in many publications, including The Penguin Book of Australian Women Poets, American Letters & Commentary, Anemone Sidecar, Big Bridge, Del Sol Review, Diagram, elimae, First Intensity, 5_Trope, LIT, Milk Magazine, Muse Apprentice Guild, Ravenna Hotel, Retort, Unlikely Stories, and Word Riot. Her prose poem/fusion "Destination" was selected as a "best" of Web Del Sol fiction at Sol eScene (Series 20). Carol publishes the offbeat multimedia lit journal http://www.madhattersreview.com . Her blog http://carolnovack.blogspot.com provides additional details, including a reference to her former career as a criminal defense and constitutional lawyer, a chapbook of poems she authored, and a grant she received when she lived in Australia way back when. Carol teaches lyrical/innovative prose writing at an arts organization. She is co-editing an anthology of innovative fictions.
Elizabeth Smith is a Brooklyn writer, artist, and teacher published in Terrain, Carve Magazine, Smokelong Quarterly , and Mad Hatters' Review among others. She is an associate editor for Mad Hatters' Review and one of its columnists, writing "The Modern Buckeroos' Guide to the Western World." She has been a featured reader in NYC at illustrious venues such as Fusion Arts, the Bowery Poetry Club, and Kettle of Fish.
